Curriculum vitae

Since 2018: Senior Researcher and lab manager, Institute of Mineralogy, Geochemistry Group, University of Hannover.

2013 – 2018: Postdoctoral fellow (DFG funded own position), Institute for Mineralogy, Geo- and Cosmochemistry Group, University of Cologne.

2012 – 2013: Postdoctoral fellow, Institute for Mineralogy, Geo- and Cosmochemistry Group, University of Cologne in cooperation with CODES-ARC Centre of Excellence in Ore Deposits, University of Tasmania, Australia.

2007 2012: PhD student at University Bonn and University of Cologne. Thesis: “From subduction to extension: The tectonomagmatic evolution of the Bulgarian Rhodopes”.

2003 2004: DAAD scholarship at the Université de Basse Normandie, Caen, France.

2001 – 2007: Studies of Geology/Paleontology at University Würzburg.

 Research interests

  • Element cycling in subduction zones.
  • Behaviour of moderately to highly volatile elements during mantle melting.
  • Stable (U, Sn) and radiogenic (Sr-Nd-Hf-Pb) isotope geochemistry.

 Expeditions

2014 – IODP Expedition 352; sailing as “Inorganic Geochemist”, Drilling campaign (9 weeks).

2009 – Eifel/Siebengebirge, Germany; student supervisor, field trip (4 days).

2008 – Eastern Rhodopes, Bulgaria; sampling campaign (3 weeks).

2007 – Mesta Graben, Bulgaria; sampling campaign (3 weeks).
